Last week, I thought I had
That someone special.
The person who could be 'the one'
That everyone talks about,
Seeks so much, the need there is
To have someone to hold, to hug,
To love.

Like no other before.
The distance between us long,
That half hour on the train,
The most nerve racking experience.
The thoughts in my head
Running wild,
"Will I say something stupid?"
Yes, probably, but you didn't care.
You loved me for who I really was.
But now, we are apart,
And it has only been a little time,
Since we last met, as a couple,
Two inseparable beings.
Distance, however, knows not

The distance just that bit too far
To make a relationship work,
So we came to an end.
I thought it'd be so great,
But everything changed,

Throughout it all, you have been there,

You were amazing, just super.
There have been difficult times, for us all,

You've remained a constant,
The most brilliant parent.
For me and my sister,
You are never far,
Always just a walk or call away,
Even in the midst of a fray.

For advice on what I should do
If I ever had a problem,
I would come to you.
My one hope in life,
Is that I could strive,
